Committees
OCRID offers two types of committees within its organization:
Standing
Standing committees shall be appointed or discontinued by the President as deemed necessary.
Ad Hoc
Ad hoc committees shall be appointed by the President when deemed necessary to carry on the work of OCRID. Ad hoc committees shall serve until the task is completed.

Finance oversight Committee
The Finance Oversight Committee is a council of members that provide oversight of the organization’s financial status and spending.

Certification Maintenance Program (CMP) Committee
This committee works in collaboration with a network of approved sponsors to ensure the quality and effectiveness of educational opportunities provided for certified members and individuals aspiring to become certified.

Policies and Procedures Manual (PPM) Committee
This committee serves to modify and improve the working Policies and Procedures Manual for OCRID to support the successful management of the organization.

Our Ad Hoc Committees
Bylaws Committee
This committee serves to review bylaws, explore amendments to bylaws, and to adhere to some motions submitted by membership

Licensure and Standards Committee
This committee serves to pursue Ohio licensure or other statewide standards for interpreters working in settings other than K-12.

Annual Conference Planning Committee
This committee serves to ensure successful, engaging annual conferences through thorough event planning.

Awards and Scholarships Committee
This committee works to develop and maintain scholarships and awards that are offered annually at the Business Meeting.

This committee serves as collaboration of Educational interpreters for data gathering and standards development for K-12 interpreters.

Mentorship Committee
This committee will research mentorship opportunities in Ohio to see if OCRID can partner, or work on developing a mentorship program under the organization.
